KIT: Interior Shortlist

The [d]arc awards is a unique concept utilising arc and darc magazines’ reputation as being the most widely read and respected architectural lighting design publications in the world. In collaboration with creative consultants Light Collective, we have created a unique opportunity to get every lighting design practice involved in the awards process.

The [d]arc awards are the Oscars of the architectural lighting design industry using a voting strategy based on the actual original Oscars format. Independent lighting designers, interior designers, architects and product designers are invited to vote on their favourite projects and products in each category. The shortlist for voting is selected by a panel of experts and then the voting is opened. One designer, one vote makes this the only truly peer-to-peer lighting design awards in the world.

The categories have been separated into low and high budgets so that projects can compete on a more equal basis. Entries have been received from all over the world and represent the best of architectural lighting design.

The winners are usually announced live in Central London at probably the best lighting awards party in the world with amazing street food, a free bar and some fantastic light installations created by selected architectural lighting design firms in collaboration with the lighting manufacturers who are sponsoring the event.
